Reddit; the self proclaimed "Front door of the Internet" Reddit has all the information you could ever, or never want. From cooking recipes to news to video game reviews. Also heaps of nonsense and scandalous porn. Reddit is fantastic and ridiculous and where our culture comes to be born, achieve greatness, and then die in infamy. Except nothing is ever "gone" from the internet...

The site is amazing in its simplicity, but has a very steep learning curve. The subreddit organization means that if you can create a culture around it you can share ti with others. The sheer number of subreddits is astounding. the information is there, but I dare you to find it.

The site is entirely self moderated, and anyone can find a place to share any idea, thought or experience they have ever had. Simply create a free account, log in, and get searching. Let that sink in. You'll never know what you'll find.

The site isn't pretty to look at, and figuring out what you're looking for is a big hassle, but inside the ugly container it holds our humanity's future.

Just watch out for r/spacedicks.

So so may gifts have come to me from ThinkGeek. It is an amazing site for all things nerdy and fun. Their products are quality tested and all really nice items once you receive them. They also do a wonderful job categorizing their offers by type.

Need something Star Trek themed? No Problem.
Star Wars or Doctor Who? Easy.
Bacon? Yes, please.

They make it way too darned easy to take my money.

I think my only complaint would be the after purchase spam. Watch what you click when you set up your account, or you will get emails forever.

Disney has officially disbanded the Imperial Senate. Fear will keep the local systems in line. Fear of this multinational conglomerate.

You may say to yourself; He better not put too much faith in this technological terror you've constructed. The power of this merger is nothing compared to the power of the Force.

Well, we own that shit too, so don't you worry.

One of the best art sites on the web. A great community being given an easy-to-use way to get their names out there and seen in the world. The site is well laid out and intuitive. There is a subscription level of service available, but the site can be very effectively used for free.

Whether you are looking to share your art, get inspiration, look for reference materials of purchase, deviantART really is the best, most comprehensive site I've even found.

There are a few things about the site that could be adjusted navigation-wise, usually associated with what your back button will do, but an awesome site, overall.

Comics. So many choices. I love how amazingly accessible this site has made the staple of nerd culture. The site, for the most part, is very easy to browse and does an excellent job showcasing everything they have to offer very well. There doesn't seem to be ant favoritism, and presents all your choices well.

They could stand to work on their organization of the new comics as they come out every week, but it's a minor complaint of an otherwise excellent site.

I think this entire site is a bunch of bullshit. I love the idea of having a site that is really just a damn window into a service you are paying for.

Screw that. I already bought the damn internet. I pay for it every damn month. Let me in the damn site. Or charge me for access. Don't, literally, force me to give Time Warner Cable more of my hard earned cash. Just take it from me yourselves. Cut out the evil middle man.

Fuck it. I'm going to go review Time Warner next.

The History of English Podcast

The History of English Podcast

by Simon Wheeler

As an Englishman I find the content not just incredibly interesting but also very fulfilling as I learn the historical origins of the words, grammar and syntax that I use - almost without thinking - every day. It's given me a real insight into my own culture and the way that I communicate with ot...

Love the History of English podcast and its website. The maps are great and the audio samples, like the Gregorian chants or "Sumer Is Icumen In" add so much to an already terrific podcast.

I also bought from the website the Beowulf audiobook, which was terrific, and my husband boug...

Very much enjoy The History of Byzantium podcast and website. I like the maps on the site and the ability to buy special episodes from the site.

I wish there was an easier way to get to specific episodes, or at least specific maps. Still, the site is so much better than many simil...
