Amazon

Amazon

Shopping , Marketplace
I have been using Amazon for the last five years and so far my shopping experience has been great. 9 out of 10 times I receive my ordered items on time. You can get almost anything on Amazon marketplace ranging from jewellery items to high definition televisions. Since people from all over the world are trading on it, the only downside to using Amazon is that sometimes you need to be patient after ordering an item from abroad as it may take four to six weeks before it arrives from another country especially China.

Marketplace , Career
One of the easiest and widely used website to use to buy and sell products. You can get anything from a toy to your romantic partners. However, I would be careful for the latter one. But for people who are into it, the list provides lots of people for the purpose. Also, you can really get some good deals and bargains on things like books, cds, dvds, furniture etc. However, just be careful not to send money to someone without actually looking at the items first or be extra careful when dealing with strangers.

Reference , Wikis
Whenever I am looking for information, the first thing I do is go on the Internet and look at Wikipedia to see if there is some information posted on it. The website gives
a lot of useful information on almost any topic in almost 52 languages. However, the content on Wikipedia is all user created and anyone can edit or add some information to any topic they like so I always have to be very careful in using this type of information as a reference in my research papers or assignments due to authenticity.

Fiverr

Fiverr

Marketplace , Services
Fiverr is the world's largest online marketplace for services for $5 and above. You can either buy or sell services ranging from providing digital solutions for your businesses to reviewing your apps to posting videos saying anything you want them to say for $5. As a client you would love the fact that you can ask someone to do craziest things on the web for you for a fiver for either fun or as a marketing tool for your business. However, since majority of the sellers are offering their services for $5, for complex task such as SEO and bringing in traffic, 6 out of 10 times, quality is compromised and you do not get the type of work you ideally wanted to have in the first place. On the other hand, buyers can take advantage of just anything against a seller and can leave negative feedback without valid reasoning destroying your reputation for which you have worked very hard.

This history podcast is the work of Mike Duncan, who wrote and narrated the epic 'History of Rome' podcast.

So far he has covered the English (very good), American (excellent) and French (very good) revolutions. All in lots of detail, from the 'seeds of change' that led up to th...

Such a fantastic podcast!
Duncan has a knack for narrative history, taking all the disparate stories and facts and weaving it all together into a story that's fun and engaging.
It's also very well researched.
Would highly recommend to anyone with an interest in history.

I think the site looks dull now. I hope it evolves into more modern design. And also consider user experience.

I heartily agree with the reviews on this podcast series left so far by other listeners. I've not yet listened to Mike Duncan's History of Rome podcast (though I'm now inspired to do so), but the History of Byzantium podcast is a tour de force from Robin. He has done a sterling and balanced job...

I have found the History of English podcast absolutely riveting; in fact, I 'binged- listened' my way through the first 100 or so episodes, and am very relieved that there are clearly many more to come :-). History via etymology - a great concept, well-delivered by Kevin. Highly recommended.
