Big Finish Productions is an American independent game developer formed by members of Access Software/Indie Built following the company's close in 2007. The company was founded with the goal of developing story-driven, interactive games. The company's debut production, Three Cards To Midnight, was released on May 7, 2009.

The company reunites the creative team of Chris Jones and Aaron Conners, perhaps best known for their work on the Tex Murphy series of adventure games for Access Software, as well as many other veterans of the Tex Murphy series, including Brian Johnson, Douglas Vandegrift, and Matt Heider.

A super-basic website hides one of my favorite video game development companies, famous for the creation of the Tex Murphy series, including the recent "Tesla Effect." The site doesn't have much on it, but generally you don't need a lot.

The one bothersome thing is that the logins can be difficult to navigate, especially since those who backed Tesla Effect on Kickstarter have to log in once to the site, then log in again to the "backers" section of the site with a completely separate login. That could definitely be streamlined, but generally this is a good site for a great company.

One of Ars' strengths is the seriously in-depth articles and reviews. The ridiculious but fascinating 40,00...

I think the site looks dull now. I hope it evolves into more modern design. And also consider user experience.

I heartily agree with the reviews on this podcast series left so far by other listeners. I've not yet listened to Mike Duncan's History of Rome podcast (though I'm now inspired to do so), but the History of Byzantium podcast is a tour de force from Robin. He has done a sterling and balanced job...

I have found the History of English podcast absolutely riveting; in fact, I 'binged- listened' my way through the first 100 or so episodes, and am very relieved that there are clearly many more to come :-). History via etymology - a great concept, well-delivered by Kevin. Highly recommended.

It's so amazing that we have the opportunity to listen to so many years of history is such a fine detail. It's a marvel of the modern world. Thanks for doing this, Robin!
