This history podcast is the work of Mike Duncan, who wrote and narrated the epic 'History of Rome' podcast.

So far he has covered the English (very good), American (excellent) and French (very good) revolutions. All in lots of detail, from the 'seeds of change' that led up to the revolutions themselves all the way through to their conclusion (i.e. when the dust settled).

The entertainment value is sometimes a bit variable, as I've alluded to above, but it's never boring - just ranging from 'good' to 'excellent'. Considering that tax policy is often a key ingredient for most revolutions, this is no mean feat!

Mike is highly regarded by all history podcasters having set the standard with the History of Rome. The Revolutions podcast is a worthy successor, bringing to life poorly covered periods of history and looking at some of the more popular topics from a different angle.

Highly recommended.

The website is a basic blog style list of posts linking to individual podcast episodes, with the option to leave comments. It is augmented by the inclusion of a bibliography (which is unfortunately not up-to-date with the podcast as of January 2015), as well as with links to various other works by the author. The blog entries often have little in the way of actual content to support the audio podcast, but it all works well enough.

The podcast itself presents a pleasant narrative summary of various political revolutions in (early) modern history, though the traditional choice of topics means the author is often firmly on the beaten path.

Strange decision to use Comic Sans as the font for the titles of the website headings.

I could not find a way to navigate away from the homepage to any deeper links with more information. One would expect that the left skyscraper section would be hotlinked to more examples.

too many spam sites and broken links displayed, they need to clean up the search results other than traffic-related sites displayed on the first page. how about they request additional info at the search text entry.

I like this company. Their professional staff and advisers always provide quality services. Booking and related to it processes take not more than several business days, that's why I can consult them right before my trips. Recommend it!
