Jewel Silk Scarves is an online handcrafted natural fiber accessories store made by creative artisans in different regions of the USA and the world. The company was started in August 2014 and is solely owned by Julia Matto Weisner, an entrepreneur living in Connecticut who was searching for a unique product encompassing a history of handmade products with an environmentally friendly touch. Julia's husband, Brian also supports her endeavors and plays a key role as financial adviser and oversees business logistics and supplier relationships.

With an emphasis on environmentally friendly fashion, Jewel Silk Scarves also has a passion for helping women feel good about themselves and is active in doing fundraisers for "National Breast Cancer Awareness" by bringing in a line of natural fabric "Pink Scarves" and donating the proceeds to a southern Connecticut Women's Center.

We are dedicated to supplying our customers with handcrafted, artisan-quality, natural fiber silk scarves and jewelry. A beautiful handmade scarf is a mood enhancer and can delicately or boldly accessorize any woman's wardrobe!

A silk scarf, merino wool shawl, or flowing printed sarong makes a great gift for your girlfriends, family, loved ones and friends, as well as yourself, by adding a touch of vibrancy for any occasion. A comfortable tunic is just right for any casual or formal occasion. Don't forget to accessorize with our jewelry line, too! Mix and match our pieces to create multiple looks from a single outfit!

Our fine selection of products are handmade by artisan groups in the USA and worldwide. These artisans are masters of their craft and use the finest natural materials to create traditionally unique designs. The artisans maintain a sustainable livelihood and pass their craft on to the next generation. Great pride is put into preserving their traditional art forms using Eco-friendly materials and organic natural dyes.

Keeping in line with our natural products, we also have a beautiful collection of Soy Jewelry Candles proudly made in the USA from 100% soy wax and premium fragrances. You'll find a beautiful piece of jewelry inside each candle! Jewelry Candles come in a 21-ounce jar that stands 6.75" tall and 3" wide. Soy candles are very Eco-friendly and make a great gift for any occasion ... actually two great gifts for any occasion!

Our company is committed to providing the best in class customer service, in addition to working with the most traditional detailed artisans and inspiring eco-friendly fashion. A woman should feel the experience of knowing her fashionable garment or jewelry was made with the utmost pride to detail for her complete comfort.

Such a fantastic podcast!
Duncan has a knack for narrative history, taking all the disparate stories and facts and weaving it all together into a story that's fun and engaging.
It's also very well researched.
Would highly recommend to anyone with an interest in history.

I think the site looks dull now. I hope it evolves into more modern design. And also consider user experience.

I heartily agree with the reviews on this podcast series left so far by other listeners. I've not yet listened to Mike Duncan's History of Rome podcast (though I'm now inspired to do so), but the History of Byzantium podcast is a tour de force from Robin. He has done a sterling and balanced job...
