The Wizards story is an epic tale of a tiny game company which started in Peter Adkison’s basement in 1990 and grew to be a leader in the hobby gaming business and a part of the global Hasbro family. From those humble beginnings arose fantastic new worlds, stories, brands and entirely new types of play experiences that entertain communities of players through games, novels, comics, TV series, apparel and more.

Our branded play experiences bring people together face-to-face or virtually to celebrate their shared passion and imagination. Our company is a unique environment full of creative people who are passionate about creating amazing play experiences, every day.

Our story is for those who live to play.

For fans of "Magic: the Gathering" trading card game, the website is a fantastic resource with every card and many articles over a broad range of topics. A fan can find something for them, no matter what kind of player they are.

That said, there are two major issues with the user experience:

1) Things are hard to find. It looks great, but doing a google search is often the best way to navigate the site

2) the community response options are broken. There is no place to respond and discuss article content. Each card has a webpage with space for comments, but it is no longer possible to sign in, rate cards, leave comments or rate comments.

Such a fantastic podcast!
Duncan has a knack for narrative history, taking all the disparate stories and facts and weaving it all together into a story that's fun and engaging.
It's also very well researched.
Would highly recommend to anyone with an interest in history.

I think the site looks dull now. I hope it evolves into more modern design. And also consider user experience.

I heartily agree with the reviews on this podcast series left so far by other listeners. I've not yet listened to Mike Duncan's History of Rome podcast (though I'm now inspired to do so), but the History of Byzantium podcast is a tour de force from Robin. He has done a sterling and balanced job...

I have found the History of English podcast absolutely riveting; in fact, I 'binged- listened' my way through the first 100 or so episodes, and am very relieved that there are clearly many more to come :-). History via etymology - a great concept, well-delivered by Kevin. Highly recommended.
