Imgur is an online image hosting service founded by Alan Schaaf in 2009 in Athens, Ohio. Imgur describes itself as "the home to the web's most popular image content, curated in real time by a dedicated community through commenting, voting and sharing." It offers free image hosting to millions of users a day, and a comment-based social community. The company supports itself with revenue generated from ad sales, Pro accounts, commercial hosting and merchandise.

On October 22, 2012, Imgur released a user-submitted gallery, which allows users to submit directly to the Imgur gallery for public view, comments and votes.

On June 26, 2013, Imgur released its first content creation tool, the Imgur Meme Generator, which offers simple image macro creation as well as a public gallery of popular meme templates.

Ok, so I get imgur is a great way for people to share and post and comment, but there are other sites that just do it better. Imgur has never been iphone friendly as far as I'm aware. Loading it also takes more time, and the layout makes viewing it ... not so pleasant. I think imgur is a more image based meme site, as opposed to tumblr which could be a journaling site AND image based meme site. And if imgur's main purpose is more for image sharing/viewing why wouldn't the layout be more clear?

If you want to share one image, it is extremely user-friendly. You don't even need to be a member of the site. This makes it a great source for people who want to limit how many things they sign up for.

However, managing albums is non-intuitive, and frustrating. you really have to nail it on the first try, or editing an album becomes strangely difficult.

Top rated content is shared on the front page, but it gets there from community voting, and the experience of perusing these is ultimately disappointing due to the limited variety and low "hit rate" of excellent content.

Additionally, the looks are slick, and staff is visible.

I'm a cord cutter and love hulu. They do a great job of providing up to date programming for most shows and the service is quite reliable. Their original programming isn't quite as good as their competitors, but pretty darn close. My main gripes are, 1) No CBS of CW shows, so I have to use differ...

So, there isn't much to be said other than subscribing to Netflix is almost a necessity if you enjoy television. Their original programming is amazing and they have a great backlog of older television shows and some movies. The only thing I am disappointed about is that their movie selection is s...

I have been a GQ magazine reader for years and their website has just as high quality as the print publication. Now, specifically, they are doing a great job covering the 2017 political climate in a fair and unbiased way.

Good follow up to the History of Rome. Clear Narrative, I like that he generally sticks to mid-length episodes, but alters the length when needed.
