Hulu really does do a good job trying to be there for you for all your television needs, but for a price. I'm a Hulu Plus subscriber myself, and enjoy all of the benefits of being able to stay on top of the recent television they have available. I do feel like I'm stuck with the subscription based service, though, because otherwise the episodes are only available for a really short time. The modern habit of "binge watching" just isn't available unless you pay. Good business strategy, but it feels a little bit a strong arm tactic.

Good site, good service, just be prepared to pay to enjoy.

Say good-bye to paying for cable.

While you may run into some annoyance because of the frequency or length of the ads, or the lack of some programs from a few of the major networks, this service is completely worth it in the long run.

Hulu was for a while my go to site for streaming shows. They really do have all the new show up for viewing. However recently their adds have gotten much much longer. Also you now need to prove you have a cable provider that is an acceptable company to watch new videos, and time warner, which i still can watch all of the shows i want on my TV, is not acceptable with hulu. So, my faith in this site has dwindled.

Hulu needs to include CBS, or CBS needs to allow Hulu to stream their content I guess is a better way of phrasing that...

I mean I watch a lot of shows on other channels but all of my favorite shows are on CBS and I get screwed out of seeing them since I don't pay for cable. :(

I really loved those bomb Alec Baldwin commercials when it first started though, haha.

I'm a cord cutter and love hulu. They do a great job of providing up to date programming for most shows and the service is quite reliable. Their original programming isn't quite as good as their competitors, but pretty darn close. My main gripes are, 1) No CBS of CW shows, so I have to use different apps, and 2) the interface on the new appleTV is horriffic.

This history podcast is the work of Mike Duncan, who wrote and narrated the epic 'History of Rome' podcast.

So far he has covered the English (very good), American (excellent) and French (very good) revolutions. All in lots of detail, from the 'seeds of change' that led up to th...

Such a fantastic podcast!
Duncan has a knack for narrative history, taking all the disparate stories and facts and weaving it all together into a story that's fun and engaging.
It's also very well researched.
Would highly recommend to anyone with an interest in history.

I think the site looks dull now. I hope it evolves into more modern design. And also consider user experience.

I heartily agree with the reviews on this podcast series left so far by other listeners. I've not yet listened to Mike Duncan's History of Rome podcast (though I'm now inspired to do so), but the History of Byzantium podcast is a tour de force from Robin. He has done a sterling and balanced job...

I have found the History of English podcast absolutely riveting; in fact, I 'binged- listened' my way through the first 100 or so episodes, and am very relieved that there are clearly many more to come :-). History via etymology - a great concept, well-delivered by Kevin. Highly recommended.
