[Geeks are Sexy], which was originally a personal project of a Canadian system administrator, was launched in October 2005 on a free Blogspot account. A little more than a year later, the site became too big to be effectively managed and exploited on the blogger platform. The [GAS] team then decided that it would be better to move everything to a more serious blogging solution (WordPress) on a paid hosting service. The mission of [GAS] is simple: Providing up to the minute tech. news, reviews and tutorials to our readership, which is mainly composed of IT professionals and computer enthusiasts.

While I really love this site, I think I'm in the minority who don't enjoy the layout. Something about all the white space just really irks me.

That being said, great source for all things geek culture. Can easily lose a daily stumbling through this site.

Geeks are Sexy is a great source for technology, science, and geek culture news posts. They often have things before I've seen them shared anywhere else, and their posts are almost always of a much more unique and interesting nature than those found on similar sites.

With a clean layout and a good system of organization and tagging, GAS is a great site to keep up with, and a great way to break the monotony of a boring day.

Such a fantastic podcast!
Duncan has a knack for narrative history, taking all the disparate stories and facts and weaving it all together into a story that's fun and engaging.
It's also very well researched.
Would highly recommend to anyone with an interest in history.

I think the site looks dull now. I hope it evolves into more modern design. And also consider user experience.

I heartily agree with the reviews on this podcast series left so far by other listeners. I've not yet listened to Mike Duncan's History of Rome podcast (though I'm now inspired to do so), but the History of Byzantium podcast is a tour de force from Robin. He has done a sterling and balanced job...

I have found the History of English podcast absolutely riveting; in fact, I 'binged- listened' my way through the first 100 or so episodes, and am very relieved that there are clearly many more to come :-). History via etymology - a great concept, well-delivered by Kevin. Highly recommended.
